The announcement of continued lockdown for the next several weeks is naturally going to put even more strain on us all. If being realistic, I don’t think this threat to our lives is going to end until we have a vaccine for Covid-19.
We have adapted our service as much as we can, with all our advisors working remotely from home. However some of our clinicians are working on the frontline for the NHS and believe me, it’s not great out there. It is so important to stay at home and protect yourselves if you do need to go out. Wear PPE for visiting the shops, remove gloves and shoes before entering your house, wash hands in antibacterial solution.
Wipe down or spray food packaging with disinfectant such as Dettol, before letting it in your home, wash fruit and vegetables. The virus can survive up to 72 hours on flat surfaces.
The need to stay healthy physically and mentally at this time, has never been as important. Eating properly, getting some ‘fresh air’ exercise is crucial to keeping your immune system in peak condition.
With this in mind, we want to keep our patients feeling positive and focused during these difficult times. As most people are now at home and in some cases feeling lonely and isolated, I have been sensitive to this and realised that we may be the only people that some of our patients speak too whilst the lockdown continues.
We have increased our aftercare and support service, our advisors are actively ringing our patients every few days, just to check up on them and make sure they are ok. We are here for you and even if its just a chat, as long as its making you feel better, then that is a result. My advisors are trained to be understanding and are more than happy to help. There are no extra charges for this, it’s the least we can do to keep us all talking.
We are also offering a 25% discount for all NHS workers for our SkinnyJab programmes. we We are working on sending out free chef prepared meals to the local NHS workers in Cheshire. I will have more news on this next week when we have finalised a plan.
In the meantime, please all stay safe
Lots of Love
